This project is a student-created hard-surface weapon model, developed under my mentorship as part of a professional asset-creation learning module.
The objective of this exercise was to train the student in industry-standard weapon modeling workflows, focusing on structural accuracy, clean topology, surface wear, and presentation suitable for game and cinematic pipelines.
Student - Sushil Sharma (https://www.artstation.com/sushilsharma)
The asset demonstrates a solid understanding of:
Hard-surface modeling principles
Mechanical form language and proportion
Controlled edge wear and material breakup
Clean mesh organization and readability
Professional lighting and render presentation
The student worked through the complete pipeline, from blockout to final render, applying real-world references and production-ready techniques.
Tools & Workflow (Student):
Modeling: Maya
Texturing: Substance Painter
Rendering: Marmoset Toolbag / Twin Motion
This project represents the student’s progress toward AAA-quality asset creation, and is showcased here for educational and portfolio demonstration purposes.
