Post-Apocalyptic Double-Barrel Handgun – Student Artwork

This piece showcases a hand-crafted, improvised weapon design that blends rustic materials with brutal, survival-era engineering. The double-barrelled handgun features a decayed metal frame, a weathered wood grip, and fabric bindings, capturing a world where resources are scarce and creativity becomes a necessity.

Rust buildup, chipped paint, and worn surface details were carefully sculpted and textured to enhance the grounded realism. The added scrap-metal spikes, stitched leather, and taped handle emphasize this as a tool born from desperation — functional, dangerous, and raw.

Created as part of a student learning project, this work demonstrates growing competency in:
✔ Hard-surface modeling
✔ Surface damage & wear detailing
✔ Real-time prop texturing
✔ Material storytelling for game assets

A gritty and believable artifact from a ruined future — forged not in a factory, but in survival.
