Sakura Bloom Kimono

This project showcases a stylized Japanese-inspired kimono created as part of a digital clothing and character costume study. The focus of the project was to explore realistic fabric behavior, layered garment construction, and the integration of elegant floral textile patterns while maintaining clean silhouette design.

The costume features a soft pink color palette accented with delicate cherry blossom motifs, inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics. Special attention was given to the draping of the fabric, sleeve volume, garment layering, and the overall flow of the outfit to achieve a natural and believable appearance.

The garment was developed through a complete clothing workflow, emphasizing:

Pattern creation and garment construction
Fabric simulation and realistic cloth behavior
Material and textile detailing
Traditional costume-inspired design
Clean topology and presentation rendering

The floral fabric design and soft color treatment were chosen to convey elegance, serenity, and femininity, while the layered silhouette reflects the craftsmanship found in traditional East Asian garments.

This project served as an exercise in costume visualization, digital fashion creation, and cloth simulation techniques, helping strengthen skills in garment design, fabric detailing, and presentation rendering.
